About Us
Report Chain is an independent review and ranking site for crypto exchanges. We built it for people who are tired of comparing polished marketing pages and still not knowing what a trade, deposit, or withdrawal will really cost. Our job is to make those practical differences easier to see before you hand over money or identity documents. We cover services used to buy, sell, trade, and move crypto assets, with attention to the rules that apply in the places they serve.
We do not operate an exchange, hold customer funds, execute trades, offer investment management, or tell readers which assets to buy. Crypto carries real financial risk, and a good exchange cannot remove that. What it can do is provide clear pricing, credible security practices, reliable trading infrastructure, and useful support when a user needs help. Those are the things we investigate. We also avoid treating flashy token listings, celebrity campaigns, or oversized reward offers as proof that a platform is good.
Our rankings use five core criteria: fees, security and custody, liquidity and execution, product usability, and transparency and support. Fees include the full cost of a transaction, not merely the headline commission. Security and custody cover account protections, asset storage disclosures, incident history, and withdrawal safeguards. Liquidity and execution consider whether quoted prices and order handling hold up in normal use. Product usability examines key tasks such as funding an account, placing an order, finding records, and moving assets. Transparency and support cover public disclosures, terms, customer service, and how candidly a company handles limitations. Our methodology page explains the weighting, evidence standards, and update process in greater detail.
The editorial work is led by Crypto Exchange Research Editor Yvette Saran, a former payments journalist who has spent years reporting on consumer finance and digital asset platforms. Report Chain's researchers compare published terms with the actual user journey wherever testing is available. We read fee schedules, help-center articles, custody statements, legal documents, and change notices. A score is never a permanent trophy. A security incident, revised withdrawal policy, reduced market access, or worse pricing can change a platform's position.
Report Chain may earn a commission when readers use certain links and complete a qualifying signup or transaction. These affiliate relationships help pay for research, site maintenance, and updates. They do not determine rankings, review scores, or editorial coverage. We label commercial links where appropriate, and we would rather lose a commission than soften a finding that readers need to know.
A ranking is a starting point, not a substitute for checking whether a service supports your country, payment method, intended assets, and preferred custody setup. Read the details behind any score, compare the options that fit your own needs, and start cautiously if you are new to crypto.
